Cruz of the Electric Cooperative Audit Department of the National Electrification Administration handed two certificates to INEC from NEA for successfully attaining 100% Sitio Energization and for publishing its coffee table book titled “Light to Live.”

The coffee table book “grew out of genuine appreciation of the cooperative’s past and its struggles and a tribute to those who dedicated their lifetime to the electric cooperative grow to what it is today.”

The book, through a gamut of photographs both in historical B&W photos to contemporary colored ones, documents the cooperative’s journey from its inception in 1971 to the third quarter of the 21st century.

“Light to Live” featured the stories of critical personalities in the history of INEC from the late President Ferdinand Marcos, his chief implementor of the Rural Electrification Program Gen. Pedro Dumol, INEC’s own father and quintessential visionary former General Manager Oswaldo P. Parado to the past GMs Engr. Romillas Pascual and Engr. Renato Balintec who was INEC’s GM during the conception of the book. It also gave prominence to current members of the Board of Directors and showed the employees as tribute to the current crop of stewards of INEC. In addition, the book also exhibited Ilocos landscapes to promote the beauty of Ilocos Norte, INEC’s area coverage.
